Abstract

My abstract paintings are a departure from reality.  I employ various tools such as palette knives, trowels

and other straight edges to apply oil paint.  They are generally large scale and sometimes use silver and

gold foil. I rarely know what the outcome will be when I start which is the exact opposite of my realism.

I build cumulative layers of color letting the painting come rather than creating it.
